The purpose of this section of CEACCP is to provide a forum for debate and clarification of any controversies arising from previous articles.
In response to the article on Anaesthesia and critical care of Jehovah's witnesses by Lisa Milligan and Mark Bellamy (CEACCP 2004; 4: 359), Dr Michael Ward, Vice President of the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland drew our attention to their document on Management of anaesthesia for Jehovah's witnesses, produced in 1999 and currently being updated. Dr Bellamy thanked Dr Ward for correcting the oversight of not mentioning the AAGBI guidelines in his article; readers are reminded that this and other AAGBI guidelines are available at www.aagbi.org/guidelines.html.
